Kenly meth raid yields three arrests

KENLY -- A search for a probation violator in Wayne County wound up with authorities raiding a methamphetamine operation in Kenly.
Stephanie Smith, 28, of Butterfly Lane in Pikeville, was being sought by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office for violating the terms of her probation.
Johnston County deputies lent a hand and she was located at the Days Inn on Johnston Parkway in Kenly on Thursday.
Investigators said they found her with Thomas Davis, 36, of Highway 222 West, Middlesex, and Michael Perdue, 42, Irene Lane, Rocky Mount.
All three were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, possession with intent to manufacture, sell and deliver methamphetamine and possession of precursor chemicals with intent to manufacture methamphetamine.
The three are being held in the Johnston County jail under $750,000 bond each.
