Charles B. Aycock High School student Christopher Howell practices keeping cadence in preparation for band tryouts on Friday. Tryouts are open to all Aycock students. The Golden Falcon Marching Band is Aycock's largest and most visible musical ensemble. Under the direction of Michael Palmer the band took second in class at Clinton Band Day, third place in percussion at the Central N.C. Band Festival and has won many more honors. The band performs at all home varsity football games, area parades, selected competitions, and other events.
