"There is no telling how long I have been picking strawberries," Lula Carlson said as she gingerly made her way through the Cottle strawberry field in Goldsboro. Strawberry season is here and will last for six to eight weeks. Local farms have set up roadside stands for people to get their fresh- picked strawberries. Cottle Farms places out 50,000 strawberries every day to fill its four local stands.
