Rosewood Elementary fifth-grade students Aaliyah Williams, left, 11, and Kathleen Allen, 10, weave on their homemade "looms" during Merle Elam's art class. The school hosted artist-in-residence Victoria Sowers of "Sandy Creek Weavers," who worked with fifth-grade art classes last week. Students and staff also contributed artifacts to be woven into a large tapestry that will be displayed at the school.
