Commissioner Bud Gray, left, dressed as "Rolanda Gray," a contestant in Wayne County's Sweetheart Womanless Beauty Pageant, poses Tuesday morning as Noelle Woods, right, county purchasing manager, holds up a poster while talking to commissioners about the fundraiser. The pageant is a fundraiser for the county's Relay for Life team, and organizers are hopeful it will raise $10,000 for the American Cancer Society. The event will be held Saturday, Feb. 13, at 7 p.m. at the Paramount Theater. Tickets are $15 each or two for $25. A steak dinner will be held prior to the pageant from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Wayne Center. For more information or tickets, contact Grover Hood or Charlotte Jenkins at 734-5281, ext. 3.
