Then-Lt. Gov. Bev Perdue looks skyward at the 2005 Wings Over Wayne air show on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base. Gov. Perdue will hold a press conference Friday on the Goldsboro base.
Gov. Bev Perdue will visit Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Friday morning, officials from the 4th Fighter Wing confirmed late Wednesday.
No detail on the reason for her stop has been released, however, the governor is expected to hold a press conference at 10:30 a.m.
Perdue is no stranger to the Goldsboro base.
In 2005, the then-lieutenant governor was a distinguished guest at the Wings Over Wayne air show and has spoken often about her support of the military -- particularly during the Base Realignment and Closure Commission process.
