Terry Lee of Mount Olive uses a pair of mules to pull an old one-row tobacco stalk cutter Tuesday afternoon. He and Shayne Williams, also of Mount Olive (not pictured), spent the day cutting several fields in the Mar-Mac community. Lee said they work for free simply because they enjoy doing things the old-fashioned way, and because it helps keep their mules in good shape and accustomed to pulling a plow.
