Suspect sought in city shooting

Police are looking for a Pikeville man who allegedly shot a 34-year-old Seaboard Street man on Saturday night.
Goldsboro Police Sgt. Chad Calloway said that the victim, Marlow Holmes, was seriously injured in the shooting, which occurred about 10:45 p.m. at the Economy Inn, 802 W. Grantham St.
Calloway said Holmes was still in the hospital as of this morning, but hospital officials could not be reached this morning for information on his condition.
Police are searching for Tavaris L. Lane, a black man about 6 feet, 9 inches tall and between 275 and 325 pounds, according to police.
Calloway said Lane is being treated as armed and dangerous.
Lane was last seen driving a black 1999 or 1998 Dodge Durango, owned by Stacey Williams of Legion Lake Drive in Dudley, according to police.
Lane has also been known to drive a white Ford Expedition, and has also been seen in a blue Chevrolet Lumina with a license plate number of NSY-6726.
