Dr. Silver recognized by ag agents

Dr. George Silver has received the 2009 Service To Agriculture Award from the North Carolina Association of County Agriculture Agents.
The award was presented at the organization's annual meeting recently.
Dr. Silver received the award for his years of diligently working with Cooperative Extension on the county and state level in promoting Cooperative Extension and agriculture programs.
He is actively involved in programs such as Farmland Preservation, Voluntary Agricultural Districts and serves as chairman of the Wayne County Extension Advisory Council, which assists the Extension Service by helping direct its programming efforts.
