Two shot at local hotel

Goldsboro police stages vehicles outside of the Hampton Inn at corner of Spence and Royal avenues in Goldsboro. Two people were shot shortly before lunch today. The gunman fled before the police arrived on the scene. Both victims were taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital by Wayne County EMS. Goldsboro Fire station 2 assisted at the scene.
Goldsboro Police are investigating a double-shooting that occurred around 11 a.m. at Hampton Inn on Spence Avenue.
According to police, Stephen King and Amanda Justice were both transported to Wayne Memorial Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Stephen King was shot in the leg and Amanda Justice was shot in the buttocks. Goldsboro police are currently searching for three suspects and hope to release surveillance video of the robbers later today.
