Tornado leaves two dead near Kenly

KENLY -- A tornado ripped through Johnston and Wilson counties early Saturday, destroying homes and leaving two people dead.
Maryland Gomez was killed and her husband seriously injured when the twister touched down just east of Kenly.
A child was killed in Wilson County. Authorities had not released the second victim's name late Saturday night.
